SUMAYA JACKSON

General Manager

(General Manager) a native New Yorker began her dance training at age six at The Ailey School. Upon graduating with her International Baccalaureate from The Dwight School, she furthered her dance training at The Juilliard School, where she received her B.F.A. Sumaya continued to dance in NYC with Kyle Abraham and Janis Brenner & Dancers. While freelancing, Sumaya worked for Magnolia Bakery and worked closely with the president, Bobbie Lloyd. During her 8 years at Magnolia, Sumaya was the General Manager for four locations and assisted with franchising The training overseas in the Middle East. Sumaya began working for COMPLEXIONS in the summer of 2017. She oversees COMPLEXIONS’ Summer Intensives as well as the operations of the company.

(Production Stage Manager) has stage-managed around fifty productions including; B'way: Soulsville: The Stax Musical 29hr Reading (Stuart Benjamin Productions and Concord Music Group in Los Angeles, CA.), The 24hr Plays on Broadway (ASM), Heart of Soul The Stax Musical Workshop (Stuart Benjamin Productions and Concord Music Group). Off B'way: The Acquittal (Pan Asian Repertory Theatre), Wild With Happy (Public Theater), The Landing (Vineyard Theater Composed by John Kander), The Plot Is The Revolution with Judith Malina (La Mama EST). Regional: Crossing Borders Festival (Two River Theatre), The Glass Menagerie (The Light Fantastic Theater Co. w. Opera House Arts, Maine), The Unfortunates, (Oregon Shakespeare Festival), Tosca, Opera NJ, (McCarter Theater), Water on Mars (The New Victory Theater), Youth America Grand Prix Regionals and Finals in Atlanta, Indianapolis, Boston and New York City. NYC: PHISH'S NYE GAG (Madison Square Garden Arena), 10th Anniversary! The México/United States Playwright Exchange 10th Anniversary!
